Advanced blue solid-state laser (BSSL) Upgrade:

Diode Laser with excellent beam quality, analogue intensity interface and high speed digital modulation. COHERENT Enterprise Gas Laser Replacement for all ODME AM Recorders and CD/DVD 8inch Recorders. Solid-state lasers are inherently much more energy efficient than gas lasers, consuming a fraction of the power, and generating very little heat. Unlike the gas laser, this new unit is directly modulated, eliminating the need for a difficult to obtain AOM crystal. This upgrade fits entirely within the optical area of the Laser Beam Recorder in the space originally occupied by the Gas Laser and the solidstate laser mount fits onto the original mounting holes for the Gas Laser assembly.
